Apply in early a.m., late evening or in shade of day. Do not apply in heat of day, direct sunlight, or if surface is warm to the touch, for this will cause a surface film that may cause peeling at a later date. For Sansin Classic and Dec formulas it will be necessary to lightly mist with water after application of product in temperatures above 70°F. If you absolutely have to apply on a hot day (above 70°F), mist the wood with water to cool the surface temperature before applying Sansin Classic; dilute Sansin Classic up to 10% with water; check periodically if the surface is getting sticky during the drying process. If sticky, lightly mist coated area with water, to re-hydrate the Sansin Classic Formula. Re-smooth with roller or paint pad. Applying in these conditions can result in surface filming. Application in these conditions should be avoided. Allow adequate time between applications. A minimum of 24 hours in proper drying conditions.
